Rising Spanish cyclist dies in collision

A rising Spanish star in the professional cycling circuit was killed Thursday when he collided with a car.

Victor Cabedo, 23, died when he was knocked down by a car and fell down a ravine while training in the Almedijar area in the province of Castellon, ThinkSpain reported.

He made his debut last year with the Euskaltel-Euskadi team. He won a stage last year in the Vuelta a Asturias.

Cabedo started his professional career with Orbea.
