Branko Boskovic notched the game’s only goal in the 64th minute Sunday, handing D.C. United a 1-0 decision over Chivas USA.

Lionard Pajoy sent a cross that Boskovic met with a diving header into the net for United (15-10-5) on the game’s key play.

The Washington team bolstered its playoff position with the victory, forging a third-place tie with New York at 50 points apiece in the Eastern Conference.

Chivas, meanwhile, fell to 7-15-7 with its fifth consecutive loss.
