Actress Sammi Kane Kraft, who starred as a child in the 2005 remake of “The Bad News Bears,” was killed in a Los Angeles car crash, police said. She was 20.

E! News said Kraft was a passenger in a speeding car that rear-ended a big truck early Tuesday on the westbound 10 Freeway, then was hit by another vehicle.

Molly Kate Adams, the 21-year-old driver of the car in which Kraft was riding, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence, the report said.

Best known for playing baseball-loving tomboy Amanda Whurlitzer in “The Bad News Bears,” starring Billy Bob Thornton, Kraft also started a folk-country-rock band called Scary Girls and frequently performed as a solo singer-guitarist at small venues, the Los Angeles Times said.
