Glitch disrupts Tokyo derivatives trading
A computer glitch suspended derivatives trading for a time Tuesday on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The Tokyo Stock Exchange suspended trading for all derivatives because of the computer system failure, The Wall Street Journal reported.
It resumed trading of Topix-linked futures, Japanese government bond futures and other derivatives about 90 minutes later.
The exchange’s main index, the Nikkei, closed at 8,803.31, picking up 77.22 points, or 0.88 percent.
