Crude oil prices steady
Crude oil held close to steady Monday on the New York Mercantile Exchange, holding under $93 per barrel with the dollar index off 0.3 percent.
West Texas Intermediate crude oil closed at $92.86, close to the day’s starting point with recent trading adding 14 cents per barrel.
Some traders are betting on the People’s Bank of China, which is seen as likely to announce a stimulus measure in the wake of recent weak economic data.
The natural gas price was 1.4 cents higher at $2.743 per million British thermal units.
Home heating oil was up 0.17 cents at $3.02 a gallon.
Reformulated blendstock gasoline added 0.89 cents to reach $2.9996 a gallon.
At the pump, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $3.696 Monday, up from $3.692 Sunday, AAA reported.
